With sustainability being a central tenet of our philosophy and business model, we have embraced and implemented triple bottom line accounting in order to capture the social, environmental and financial aspects of our performance and impacts of our activities, and those of our key customers. This has included the introduction of two key management frameworks to help us organise, dashboard and manage every element of our contracts with two additional metrics to work alongside top-line revenue and bottom-line profit

 

 

 

B CORP CERTIFICATION

From inception our first ESG milestone was to become B Corp Certified. The B Impact Assessment process evaluated our practices and outputs across all five areas of our business; Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. We proudly earned a score of 83.4, where ordinary businesses score 50.9, and were B Corp certified in June 2023. In so doing we join a movement of over 2000 companies across the UK, and 6000 globally, who are leading the change our grandchildren will thank us for.

Certification is not the end of the road, it’s the start. Since becoming certified we have assembled an ESG taskforce to drive forward sustainable partnerships and processes at each level of our value chain.

CARBON REDUCTION

SOCIAL VALUE

We evaluate the social value linked to your contract using the National TOMs Framework. The framework consists of circa 80 TOMs (Themes, Outcomes and Measures) and aligns to the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Social value is captured across 5 priority areas: jobs, growth, social, environment, and innovation, with impact being measured in £ Social & Local Economic Value (SLEV) across contracts. 

We believe and expect that delivering social value and commercial returns will be mutually reinforcing over time. We therefore intend to integrate social impact across all business strategies, key decisions, in dealings with our customers and across our supply chains.
